Abstract

This chapter is derived from the presentation made as part of the IEEE Minicourse on Computer Applications in Plasma Science in June, 1987. This presentation described numerical methods used in the computer simulation of diodes and other magnetically insulated devices. The text found here expands upon material presented during the minicourse and includes a bibliography. The interested reader is encouraged to explore the literature for more information on methods and applications which limited space prevents from inclusion here.
