Electroslag Casting at the Manufacturing Association “Cheboksar Commercial Tractor Plant”
Some components produced from forgings for the manufacture of heavy tractors at the MA “Cheboksar Commercial Tractor Plant” (CCTP) are characterized by a low utilization factor of metal (UFM) (0.17 to 0.35), which results in the inefficient utilization of scarce constructional steels (40H, 33HS, 38HS, 20HN3A, 40GMFR, etc.) and increases machining costs.
