Abstract
The arithmetic functions allow us to perform common mathematical operations, such as addition and subtraction, find sines and cosines, and compare and convert numbers. They are familiar to most of us through our experience with mathematics or with other programming languages and are therefore suitable for demonstrating how the AutoLISP evaluation process works in the next chapter.
