Abstract
Fine-needle aspiration (FNA) has evolved as a standard procedure for the initial evaluation of a palpable breast mass. Ideally, the patient presents to a comprehensive breast diagnostic clinic where a multidisciplinary team, composed of a primary care provider, a cytopathologist, an imaging technician and radiologist, and an “on-call” surgeon evaluates her breast symptoms.
