Abstract

In this chapter, we discuss the AMS document classes and the AMS packages.1 Since the whole chapter deals with AMS topics, the marginal warnings will be omitted for the remainder of the chapter.

Article Note

The AMS refers to the AMS document classes and packages together as A M S-LATEX; this is slightly confusing because A M S-LATEX 1.0 and 1.1 were LATEX variants (incompatible with the LATEX of the day, LATEX 2.09), not document classes and packages of the standard LATEX.
