Abstract

Although hormonal replacement therapy (HRT) for the postmenopausal woman has been studied and promoted for years, interest in the possibility of male HRT is a relatively new development. Reasons for growing enthusiasm in this area include an increasing body of data supporting an age-related decline in testosterone production and the increasing number of older adults who are eager to maintain robust health and avoid dysfunction and frailty.
