A Fully Nonlinear Equation from Detonation Theory

Abstract

We consider a model describing the instability of a square detonation wave by means of a fully nonlinear parabolic equation. Finite-time singularities are generated by singularly perturbed first-order equations, and we apply the advanced version of the S-Theorem based on the stability assumption of the reduced omega-limit set.
