Abstract
This chapter will treat the study of Fourier series whose coefficients with negative index are all zero. From the standpoint of applications, such series are extremely useful due to connections with causal filters and control theory (see chapter 4). The mathematical richness of the topic arises from the interplay between such series and certain classes of analytic functions on the unit disc.
