  • Warren Greenberg

Abstract

In nearly all industries, the goverment has been or is a regulatory presence. Regulation of electric utility rates, size of agricultural output, tariffs and quotas on imported goods and services, and licensing of taxicabs are just a few of the many government regulations in the American economy. Government regulation also pervades the health care sector.
