Abstract
I KNEW THAT CHANGES were in the offing for libraries several years ago when I saw a little boy climb up on a stool in front of a computer terminal through which our online catalog could be accessed and, with great confidence, enter something on the keyboard. This was obviously quite natural for him; it wasn’t yet for some of our older clients.
