Confocal Microscopes

Confocal Microscopes generate histologic images in vivo down to a few millimeters that rival ex vivo sections to a significant extent, but mostly in shades of gray. For the purpose of cryosurgery they intervene in the processes of diagnosing lesions and following their post-op looking for incomplete ablation or recurrence.
