Abstract
Non-accidental injury (NAI) is the preferred term for injury deliberately inflicted on a child as a form of physical child abuse. It may be extended to include injuries occurring as a result of inappropriate or inadequate parenting behaviour. This chapter covers the orthopaedic aspects of such injuries.
