Abstract
This chapter discusses the advantages and drawbacks of modernizing the existing coal-fired condensing power stations to a high-efficiency, dual-fuel gas-steam combined cycle by means of their repowering with a gas turbogenerator in series and parallel systems. Energy balance equations are also presented for them in the chapter.
