Abstract

Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a relatively common disease among the elderly, often reaching a rate of up to 36.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, and it may be present in up to 5.9 % of the population aged over 80 years. AAAs of more than 5 cm diameter are more prone to rupture and have a mortality of up to 63 % [1].
