Abstract

This chapter will review two related innovations that have significantly improved the patient, provider and staff experiences at Fallon clinic by utilizing the conditional logic functionality built into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. One innovation helps staff pre-order lab tests before a patient’s Annual Exam visit, and the other makes it easier for medical assistants to choose the correct documentation templates at a patient’s office visit.
