Abstract

A 65-year-old female presenting with a several-decade history of asymptomatic thinning hair on the scalp. The patient had no antecedent illnesses or change in medications or new hair styling products. No treatments have been prescribed yet to date. The remainder of her past history is negative. Of note, she thinks that her maternal grandmother might have also had some thinning starting in middle age.
