Abstract
As mentioned in the introduction, this book is not intended as an exhaustive review of EP research; rather, it is designed to help EP implementers and stakeholders to reflect on the various methodological, clinical and professional issues associated with electronic prescribing. The previous chapters have aimed to do this from the standpoint of a number of recognized benefit areas of EP systems. This final chapter is therefore arguably the most speculative chapter, as it aims to consider the future challenges and areas of development in EP implementation.
