Abstract
Some one-third of all the globes received in a routine laboratory service will exhibit pathological changes which illustrate the final stages of processes initiated by trauma. While “trauma” embraces all forms of insult, e.g. chemical, toxic, radiation, etc., in practice, mechanical injury is the most frequently encountered.
