Ophthalmic Histopathology

Abstract

Tumours arise most commonly from melanocytes in the uveal tract and malignant melanoma is the most frequently encountered tumour in the routine laboratory. The anatomical distribution frequency of uveal melanomas is 8% in iris, 12% in ciliary body and 80% in choroid.
