Abstract
Northern observers are now preparing for the return of Orion. It rises in the east very late in the evening, and well before that some of the members of the Hunter’s retinue -Capella, Aldebaran, the Pleiades — are well in view. The Square of Pegasus is high in the south, with Andromeda leading off toward Perseus and thence to Capella; lower down is the large, sprawling constellation of Cetus, the Whale. Fomalhaut is still on view, and Aquarius and Capricornus are becoming low in the south-west.
