Abstract

In November 1987 the operational services of the Netherlands PTT asked the Formal Specification group and the D-channel experts of the Communications Research department whether it was possible to produce a simulatable formal specification of layer 3 of the ISDN D-channel protocol. In this paper the experiences with LOTOS in the production of this specification, and the experiences with the LOTOS environment LOTTE are discussed.
