Abstract

Lazy functional programs typically have very primitive user interfaces. Poor interfaces with the outside world make it difficult to access machine resources like colour displays and mice. This paper presents a technique for using X11 and an associated toolkit XView [1] from the lazy functional language Miranda.1 This has been done by building an interpreter for a subset of X11/XView.
