Arterial and Venous Responses in Young and Aged Anaesthetized Wistar Rats

Abstract

In human, aging is associated with a variety of alterations in cardiovascular function, including a decreased cardiac output and an augmented blood pressure [1]. The purpose of this study was to test the influence of age in anaesthetized rats, on arterial and venous parameters.
