Inverting Stripping Versus Conventional Stripping of the Long Saphenous Vein

Abstract

Previous studies suggest that it is desirable to strip the long saphenous vein to prevent recurrence of varices, but this may cause haematomas, skin bruising and pain. Inverting stripping has been suggested as an alternative method which may reduce the extent of these complications.
