Comparison of Externally Banded Valvuloplasty to Interruption of the Saphenofemoral Junction by Clipping-in-Continuity for Isolated GSV Incompetence
Few studies have compared different methods of correcting reflux at the saphenofemoral junction (SFJ) of the incompetent greater saphenous vein (GSV). When comparisons are made they usually report only the presence or absence of reflux as tested by augmentation methods. This study attempted to evaluate not only this function but the hemodynamics of the GSV in response to exercise, a more physiologic approach.
