Abstract

In the race for competitiveness and cost reduction, more automated processes are seen as an important approach. One of the challenges is to create automated processes that keep the flexibility of more manual processes. In this case we see how this is done in a company within the furniture industry. The case illustrates how the company gets access to data that creates a basis for increased knowledge but also where attention has to be put on the human dimension.
