Abstract
Oil and Gas (O&G) producers are challenged to increase the working efficiency while reducing production costs. This demands application of various innovative techniques and novel work management solutions. In this context, collaborative work and integration of work processes have become a major focus of interest. One well-known initiative involves strategic and field-wide integrated work planning that aims at more efficient and cost-effective coordination of activities by core disciplines and stakeholders for maximising business results.
This paper addresses issues related to Integrated Planning (IP) within an O&G offshore production environment. It is based on an ongoing project in Norway in close cooperation with the O&G industry.
