Abstract

Integration of heterogeneous applications and data sources into an interoperable system is one of the most relevant challenges for many utilities such as Hydro-Québec. Therefore the development of a framework which would facilitate the integration of heterogeneous applications is a challenging, albeit rewarding, task. In this paper we propose an ontology-based distributed blackboard architecture that aims at tackling the semantic interoperability problem.
