Abstract
Although there is an increased risk of maternal and fetal complications, women with SCD should expect to have successful pregnancies and healthy babies. In this chapter, we describe current approach to pre-conceptual, antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care which emphasizes the need for multidisciplinary care given by experienced specialists.
