Abstract
There are six types of serous cystic neoplasm, all of which are included in this chapter. The macroscopic and microscopic features of microcystic and macrocystic serous cystadenomas are discussed in detail. The features of solid serous adenoma, von Hippel-Lindau-associated serous cystic neoplasm, mixed serous-neuroendocrine neoplasm, and serous cystadenocarcinoma are also included, together with those of the recently described “serous cystadenoma with subtotal cystic degeneration.” A detailed section on differential diagnosis discusses the morphology and immunohistochemical profiles of the different diagnostic entities.
