Stroke Data Banks and Stroke Registries

  • Chapter
Brain Ischemia

Abstract

During the past 30 years, stroke registries and data banks have merged as powerful instruments of clinical stroke research (Mohr 1986). Typically, stroke registries are one of three types: population-based, case-based and cohort-based.
