Abstract
In the preceding chapters, we studied infrared thermography, its related theory as well as methods and image processing techniques necessary to investigate materials and structures. We also concentrated on defect detection. Once defects have been located, it is interesting to characterize them quantitatively in order to judge their severity. This sixth chapter is dedicated to this study.
