Abstract

The determination of stress and strain field according to classical elasticity, for conditions that do not correspond to fracture or cracking of the materials, is realized by conversion to a boundary problem which is characterized by either an elastic or a plastic law of deformation. The boundaries and the strain behaviour of the body are considered as known and the applied loads cause small-scale deformations of the boundary regions.
