EX9 Limb bone length ratios/age [radiography]

  • Chapter
Measurements in Pediatric Radiology

Abstract

Disproportion between the different large long bones is seen in several skeletal malformations. In many syndromes the disproportion is so obvious that measurements are unnecessary, but the present method may be used to give ‘disproportionate profiles’ in borderline cases, as well as to express numerically the rhizomelic and mesomelic dwarfism.
