Abstract
Measurements of the interpeduncular distance may be of value for evaluation of mass-occupying lesions in the vertebral column, as well as for evaluation of skeletal dysplasias. As was said for the sagittal measurements, most authors have not accounted for different magnification factors. This is important, as modern radiographic techniques may use a greater magnification than those used in studies published in the 1960s and earlier.
