Abstract
If you had wanted to develop Windows applications a few years ago, before Delphi was available, Visual Basic was probably your best option. If you have used Visual Basic you have a head start in learning Delphi, but there are some major differences and some traps that you may fall into if you assume that things behave in the same way in both of these systems.
