Abstract
Considerable knowledge has been acquired in recent years, experimentally and in man, toward the further understanding of the urodynamics of the upper urinary tract in the normal and altered or diseased state [1–63]. This information is crucial in determining the optimal type of management (surgical or medical) to preserve and/or improve function of the hydronephrotic kidney.
