Duality Theory for Polynomials

  • Seán Dineen
Part of the Springer Monographs in Mathematics book series (SMM)

The results of the previous chapter and, in particular, those in Section 1.3, give some idea of the interaction that is possible between polynomials and geometric concepts in Banach space theory. Recent and ongoing research is rapidly adding to our knowledge in this area and indeed the volume of material available and the pace of development obliged us to be selective in our choice of topics for presentation (see the end-of-chapter notes). We have tended to concentrate on polynomial results for which non-trivial holomorphic analogues are available.
