Abstract
Aim: Between 1990 and 1996, data on 22 083 cancer patients, 12 548 males and 9353 females, were analysed to determine the frequency of the commonest cancers. This hospital-based study was carried out to ascertain the frequency of oral cancer in north-west Pakistan and its association with use of smokeless tobacco (naswar).
