The tobacco industry is not a popular sponsor among youth in Switzerland
In Switzerland, about one-third of the population between the ages of 15 and 75 are smokers; 30% are women and 40% are men. Among youngsters, 10% aged 11–15 smoke at least once a week, while 25% aged 15–19 smoke every day. In the age group 20–24, 40% are daily smokers. The Swiss are thus heavy smokers, and Switzerland is at the top of the list of tobacco consumption per inhabitant.
