Abstract
The topics introduced in Chapters 1-4 can be pursued further in various direcĀtions. We shall not do so, but instead describe in this chapter some aspects of the general theory which will help the reader to understand the basic concepts. Their inclusion is justified by the fact that they are usually only found in specialist accounts but do not require extensive background knowledge.
