Abstract
The dividing line between fact and fiction has been blurred by the arrival of virtual reality, which for many may become a standard substitute for real experience. In these days of cost control, a simulation is likely to be more financially acceptable than physical activity. The tacit knowledge that derives from experience will erode further.
