If you’re dealing with a company that may not have many other systems in place at the moment and may not have an experienced IT department, they may have unrealistic expectations about that is feasible ... what can be done for a given budget. The first thing you have to do with any new customer is to ask yourself if they are being realistic in terms of the money they have and what they expect you to do. So one of the first things you do is filter out people to make sure you’re not wasting their time and yours.
