Abstract
To be able to evaluate and quantify the level of design exclusion of a particular product, it is necessary to be able to assess the features of the product to identify those that present difficulties to the user and, ideally, why they present difficulty. The level of capability required for the user to be able to use those features of the product then needs to be mapped to the overall spread of capabilities across the population to identify how many people can or cannot use the product.
