Abstract

We have looked at the structure of JavaScript and you can already do a great deal using JavaScript which could not be achieved by using XHTML alone, but there are some important aspects of JavaScript which we have not looked at yet. A set of core objects are defined for Java that add a lot of extra functionality, if for example you wish to find out more about the platform that is being used or if you wish to carry out a range of operations, such as sorting lists, manipulating strings or carrying out a wide variety of mathematical operations.
