Abstract
To achieve the highest resolution, maximum illumination, and even illumination required for excellent photomicrographs, it is necessary to focus the light source carefully onto the plane of focus of the specimen. This procedure must he performed for each objective prior to photomicroscopy on any nonmotorized light microscope. Motorized microscopes may have different procedures specified by the manufacturer due to the complexity of the condenser assemblies supplied.
