Chemical Diversity of Coral Reef Organisms

Abstract

Coral reefs in the tropical and subtropical waters are habitats of diverse species of organisms, especially sessile invertebrates. These organisms have yielded numerous compounds having diverse chemical structures and biological activities. Some of them have been developed into anticancer agents which are now under clinical trials and some others as indispensable tools in biochemical research.
