Quantum aspects of imaging

Quantum imaging is a recently born research field, which studies how quantum entanglement properties of light beams in the spatial domain can be exploited in order to improve the quality of processing of images and of parallel signals. This talk will first address some general concepts as spatially multimode squeezing and spatial entanglement, and describe some optical devices that are able to generate light beams with these features; then some interesting approaches that are presently pursued in this field will be illustrated.
