Application of RFID Data Acquisition Technology on TV Supply Chain Management

Abstract

From the perspective of the whole process of supply chain management (SCM), we studied the application of radio frequency identification (RFID) information collection technology on nodes of the color TV supply chain, such as raw material supply, manufacturing, inventory management, transportation, sorting, distribution and sales, after-sale services, and scrap recycling. We analyzed that RFID technology can help TV manufacturers to provide demand information to suppliers timely and trace the purchase source of raw material, favor the life-cycle management of permanent assets, increase the level of production automation, reduce the repetitive operation of inventory management, achieve the automatic positioning of transportation facilities and goods, provide maintenance records and quality basis for product quality analysis, technical improvement and relevant management, and achieve the information sharing during the whole process of TV supply chain. Finally, the application of essential points of the RFID technology are being explained.
