Abstract
Hypersensitivity pneumonitis (extrinsic allergic alveolitis) is characterized by a non-IgE mediated inflammation which can progress to disabling or even fatal end-stage lung disease. It is caused by repeated inhalation of non human organic dust including birds, agricultural dusts, and molds. Hypersensitivity pneumonitis is treated with avoidance to the causative antigen and corticosteroids. We present two challenging cases of hypersensitivity pneumonitis.
